Rare ? One of a kind ! A combat logbook from the 2nd man to walk on the moon, Id say that is rare enough from several points, I'll bet it doesn't go cheap.

I've still got a really nice Space Auction catalog from the early 90s, IIRC, that among other things has a LOT of Buzz's personal items in it: Lunar Descent Checklist - yes, THE descent checklist; silk liner gloves and lots of other little things worn on the moon; flight jackets, books, etc, etc, etc.

The reserve price on the Lunar Descent Checklist (signed by Buzz) was in the neighborhood of $30,000 ... I have no idea if the item(s) sold

Speaking of that, anybody catch the recent Star Trek auction on TV? Original models and costumes going for record prices. Still though, for the cost of gas to drive, little ol' me got to spend a few days in 1999 rubbing elbows with Matt Jefferies, who gave me the most helpful artistic advice I've received to date ... for which I would have paid mucho, because it's paid off - mucho. Anybody know who he was (he died a few years ago)?

Production designer on the original series I believe, though that is relying on my memory(a dangerous thing to do). The Jeffries Tubes that you would often see Scotty in repairing stuff in were named after him.
