NEW T-33's in CALIFORNIA?

Tue Sep 25, 2007 8:47 am

a friend of mine in B.C. said that last year 4 to 6 T-33's went to California Owner Tallichet. Out of curiosity I was searching the database on the FAA and I still dont see them registered. I dont even see an export of such aircraft on the Canadian Regristry. Has anyone actually seen these things added to the huge warbird stable in California? Furthermore I did not think Tallichet people were into jets???

I told my friend this all seems highly unlikely, but I would ask the WIXers, they would know!

Mr. T has a variety of jet warbirds scattered across the U.S. at museums on loan. From Larsens, Gnats, Migs and probably those T-33s you are referring to. Most are static display and most likely never registered. I understand that his aircraft are being inventoried in some select locations as we speak.

Hi Vulture,

Don't believe what people from BC say, the fumes from all the grow-ops affect their memory!

I haven't heard about Tallichet buying up any CT-133's, I wonder if you're thinking of the ones Cham Gill bought, tail# 504/546/656 and I heard he's got another in BC sitting on a trailer.

I heard something about some folks from Geneseo going up to Canada and disassembling T-33s for Tallichet... but that seemed like a year ago or so.

Anyway I am sure at some point these aircraft will be registered/flying and we will then be able to see where they are and maybe see them in the air again!

One last note. I was reading (and commented) about the VWC new F-86 that will be a Golden Hawk. I suggested it would be an awesome Idea to try and make airworthy a CF-100. Although there are no plans for a flying jet museum ... I believe that you could have a T-33, F-86 and CF-5 flying a heritage wing. That would be pretty impressive. With that said why did VWC not get any of these T-33's? Most seem to be going State Side.
