YAF's Lost Birds

Tue Oct 19, 2004 6:24 am

I am still mourning the loss of the YAF hanger. Such a piece of history.

I went through my negs and had scans made of the shots that I got of airframes and artifacts that were lost in the fire. You can find them at...

Edit: The album link provided in the original posting has been removed and replaced with this general YAF album including all aiframes of the YAF and not just those lost in the fire.

Is there a chance that any of the artifacts in these photos were not at the museum at the time?

Mike,

In the photo that you have of the Hangar taken July 1995, the F-86 and the two F-84's were out in the air park on display. But, everything else in those photos were lost.

I think I read that in an earlier email. Fortunately yes they were outside. I just had to include that shot since it was a great shot of the hanger itself.
