It sure looks like it. I never heard of such a thing at that early point in time. With the custom inscribed cowling cover, etc maybe this was a testbed of some sort. I'd say the history card might shed some light on it, but the eary records were kind of crude. Next trip to the library, I'll try to pull the card on this one and see
