This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Chuck, do you have any problems with humidity down there? It would seem like a worry (albeit minor). If you were in South Louisiana I would truly pity you LoL, and Florida is certainly part of hurricane alley...

The one in KBTR looks like it could be ready in a few days to fly.....

Seems a shame to do all of that exquisite work only to have her eventually sitting and collecting dust in a museum

Beautiful!
I'm not familiar with this project - will this one fly?

I believe this one belongs to a museum in Norway, so is a static project.

Steve, thanks for the comments. I didnt fly at all at the GML but got lots of great shots on the ramp with my point and shoot digital. I will post some of my pictures when warbird activities get slower this winter.
Black 3 does belong to Norway and is being rebuilt to static condition. See the link to the article that was written several years ago on top of my first picture.
Humidity is a major problem here. It really screws with my sinuses! We have a WW2 gun display in the hangar that is not behind glass. peoples finger oils and moisture in the air really starts to rust the steel fast. We also get a lot of surface corrosion on the airplanes that has to be delt with.
