I seem to remember seeing the flying boat in a magazine article years ago but most details are lost to time. I think it was just a test bed and not a production aircrft.

A bit of a stumper Col. After re-exam of the photo and the hanger
windows in background appearing where the empennage should be.
I'll venture it's an NC-1...or a sternless F3 or F5L Curtiss/Felix derivative.

According to my reference it was Convair, BUT, Convair means, CONsolidated- Vultee AIRcraft Corp, right! :shock: :wink:
