Lockheed 12a/C.40A Military and Civil History

Folks, I am trying to piece together the complete history of a Lockheed C.40A (C/n 1262) 38-545 that was built new for the USAAC. Have a lot of details from a friend of mine Geoff Goodall who is the guru here in Australia. Trying to find its total US military assignment history and also its post war details. Operated post war as N48741, N37P, N299A and N712FM. Can anyong help with primary source data location for this. Also seeking any photos of the aircraft in military or civil guise. All help gratefully received. If costs involved I can meet them.

Looks likes it had 3 accidents according to the accident database:

There is also a BC-1 listed, obvious serial number error, but that number is what the accident report lists.

Many thanks for the lead. I shall be contacting the owner and see if he wants full details of its mishaps. Saw a shot of its immediate sister ship 38-544. Dont know how to trace its squadron assignment but it has the marks PA 137 under the port mainplane and on the outside of the port vertical. Would love to get a shot of 38-545 if I can.

Looks like 38-544 spent a good part of her time at Duncan Field, San Antonio, TX. She had 6 accidents!

Some of the reports on 38-545 have pictures of the plane, but they look similar to old newspaper photos on microfilm. Send me an e-mail through my web site if you want more details.
