As an aside (and to bump), Jim Shuttlewoth's neice put me in contact with the good General. I had asked that if he were ever in the area, if he would stop in for a barbecue and a couple beers. To which his reply was "Absolutely!" Unfortunately, we lost him too soon. I can only imagine what it would have been like to sit and sip a beer or two and listen to him tell some of his stories. Never even got the chance to meet him in person

From everything I have heard others say, he was a well-loved and much-respected man. I know he lived a full and rich life.
