For #4000 I thought I'd share with you this picture of Tom McGuire's P-38. My dear friend John Tilley of the 431st FS sent me a print many years ago. I lost the print in our fire but have the image in a photobucket accout. John flew more missions with McGuire than any other pilot . After John was diagnosed with inoperable advanced metasticising brain cancer
he chose to go out on his own terms and ended his life with a self-inflicted gunshoton July 1, 2002. RIP my friend!!
