How many are actually up for bid?

My sources have told me that several "groups" are looking at the planes with plans to restore at least one of them to flight with the other/s static (not scrapped). I just hope the prices stay low so that whoever wins can put the rest of their money into restoring the aircraft. I have my fingers crossed that this works out for the best! These are three of the only four Starliners left worldwide and the only one's that could fly.!!!!!
The other one left is in South Africa as a static (it's been cut for transporting) but it's better than being scrapped.
I'll post updates after the auction if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Well, at the risk of stirring up another sh*t-storm in the ongoing "flying versus static" wars, I'll just say this: having one or more Starliners flying again would be simply wonderful, but a static airplane beats the daylights out of a scrapped airplane any day.

Let's hope for the best.

That's some good news.... hopefully. It would be a shame for them to be scrapped. I'm glad to hear that there are already groups mobilizing to look after them. The thought of getting at least one of them flying again is really exciting too!

Cheers,

David

that's a neat looking aircraft. It looks like there are enough parts there to have more than one flying.

Lets hope for the best.
