Can you identify the museum?

Tue Dec 11, 2007 1:49 pm

For several years now, I have been reading ads from this gentleman, who sells, buys and trades parts, for a warbird museum. The museum is never identified. Could you tell me where the museum is, for a future visit?

Thanks.

Dear Tulio,

Slippery Rock is located near Pittsburgh, PA. The only museum in that area is Air Heritage, Inc. that has the A-20 Havoc undergoing restoration.

Okay, I'm just curious why you didn't call Walt himself, and ask him when you could come see his museum? He is a great guy and very genial.

Actually the A-20 got moved (was it to Cleveland, OH then Genesso, NY?)

I believe that the museum he is refering to is the Valiant Air Command Museum in Titusville, FL. Walt is a very nice guy and has a static F-86 that was or is in Titusville.

Honestly, I did not even think about calling him.

The future visit that I talk about, is just that: a future visit, if I ever happen to be in that part of the country, so calling him now to ask when could I visit, would be in my opinion, a waste of his time.
