Geneseo Update

Visited the 1941 Historical Aircraft Group at Geneseo today. Austin Wadsworth was busy helping Mike Potter's crew dismantle SL721 for a road trip back to Ottawa. Due to various delays the prop blades are still not ready and with winter around the corner the decision was made to transport the Spitfire back to Canada.
David Tallichet's B-17 and C-47 will stay the winter at Geneseo and it is possible his B-25 and Invader may also fly in soon.
On Tuesday, Hans Vandermeer flew in his C-47 and it will also spend the winter at Geneseo. It is painted to resemble it's former D-Day markings and sports an executive interior.

Thanks for the pics as usual Eric. The C-47 is fabulous and I also like the desert camo on the T-6. I had not seen either of these birds before. Seems Mr. Potter is not getting to spend much time in the cockpit of SL721, best of luck to him in the future. As a resident of the Phoenix area I had many chances to see SL721 while it was with the Woods family and have a particular affinity for the Spit. Regards, Chad Veich.

I may have missed it in the index but what Invader does Mr Tallichett own?
It would be great to see another A-26 in the Northeast again. It's been several years.

It is A-26B s/n 44-34104. HAS has two A-26s, the almost complete bird and a second parts ship.
Anyone know where the Tallichet B-25 is? It left MAPS a while back. Is it at Lancaster too? I heard it was going to Geneseo, but it clearly isn't there.

I got word that SL721 is supposed to arrive in Gatineau today.

It sure was a sad sight seeing SL721 dusty and half torn apart at Geneseo. Hopefully it will be in flying shape soon and at many shows next year.
