P-38 in Salem, OR

After WW-II there was a P-38 atop a gas station, in Salem, OR.

Does anyone here has any information regarding the name of the owner (reportedly, former USAAF pilot) and any other information, or images about this particular Lightning?

News to me and I've been around here 30 years or so off and on.
I've been chasing the Allision and the B-17 top and ball turrets supposedly around here :shock:
