Hi,
The T-28 is definitely in Moroccan AF markings.
This airframe is sometimes reported as having been sold to Honduras.
Depending on the date at which the photo was taken, this could be the proof that it did not go to FAH.

Top pic looks Lookheed for the landing gear. Could be PV-1 or PV-2.

Is it my imagination or has Mr. T's yard started to be cleared out? I've never visited this yard, let alone California before, but i feel like i could have. I remember looking at a 2004 issue of Warbirds International and showing numerous pics of his yard, and it seemed like there was a lot more junk, i... er mean treasure in there. :D

I am going to guess that the gear is from the B-26 ? if you look at the inside of the wing box area the channeling looks like B-26.

It's definitely being cleaned out. I was there Saturday and didn't go up close but on my usual scan to the right as I drove north on Euclid I could tell it looked real empty from before.

Definately not a Marauder..the main gear and nacelle configuration are completely different. I agree it's a Lockheed..I'm thinking C-60 Lodestar.

DC-3C N259DC???

Thu Feb 07, 2008 10:51 am

I am not convinced that the DC-3 shown is actually N259DC. According to my research, N259DC is c/n 25951, formerly with the CAA and then FAA as N9445Z, N62 and N69. Photos of c/n 25951 can be found at:

Note the large rectangular windows on each side of the fuselage behind the cockpit. The aircraft in your photo does not appear to have these windows.

How sure are you of the identity of this DC-3? Any additional information you might have would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Todd
