Hi there. I was hoping that someone could help me find a/c serial's that served in the great 316th Troop Carrier Group?

Im looking for ALL WWII C-47's attached to group so that in an upcoming purchase of a c-47 i be able to find one of these.
Im looking at 2 1943 models and a 42.

Do you know the serials and/or the factory numbers of the aircraft you are interested in? The Air-Britain DC-3 history has brief histories of every DC-3 and C-47 variant built. I'll check in my copy for you.

Got your pm but wasn't able to reply to it for some reason. The Air -Britain DC-3 book says that 43-49531 waa delivered to 12th AF in Italy on Jan 14 45 then to Greenville on Sept 15 45. Became NC63186 in 1947 then exported to Israel for civilian and then Air Force use. Back to US as N215CM by 1999. GREENVILATS is maybe Greenville Air Transport Squadron?
