Thanks guys for the info on this tragic incident. I've also been chasing a story of a B-17 lost near Logan, NM. Can't seem to find any info on this a/c.

Must be...about the closest to Logan I have ever heard of.....have you any history on the accedent?

Rob Hill (a really nice guy) in Rio Rancho, NM has files on many U.S. crash sites, he has visited and phographed the remains, and has extensive data on each one of them; I have personally seen the file on that particular B-52, as well as others on B-36, B-17, etc.

The June, 1962 edition of RAF Flying Review has a great account of the shootdown, written by none other than Walt Boyne.
