Strange warbird site (sorry no pics)

I really wish I could of gotten a photo of this place i drove by the other day down in far east texas going towards Paris. I passed by a metal barn on 271 east and out in this front lawn area was the nose section of what i believe was a C-47 and the fuselage of a B-1 bomber. I was going to get pictures but on my return it was night. I was wondering if anyone else has possibly seen this place? there was a sign out front with 2 props on it and the odd thing was there was no airport of airstrip of any sorts for at least 200 miles. Im going to get the directions to there after i get out of work so if anyone wants to check it out they can.

ok so i was on 271 south and then i was 82 going towards Bossier City Louisiana. But i know i saw it in Texas in the areas of Paris and between Avery. sorry if this topic seems so bland.

Well, I wouldn't say no airstrips within 200 miles when both Paris and Texarkana have airports, but I'm sure objects that large would be clearly visible from a satellite. I'll take a look and get back.

Can you narrow down that segment a bit more? Paris and Avery are a LONG way apart. There's also Sun Valley, Blossom, Detroit, Mabry, Clarksburg, and Annona between Paris and Avery. If you can cut it down to between them, it'd help the search a lot more.

Used to be, and maybe still is, a Martin 404 parked in the trees on the north side of US 82 headin towards Paris from DFW area.

Hiway 82...east of Paris...no more than 20 miles out I believe...on south side of the two-lane....Part of a B-1 when I was there, there was also the remains of a P-40 on a trailer...in fact, there was something posted here on WIX about this same P-40...parts pasted together on a frame..more or less...I stopped and chatted with the owners....like myself, truckers, but they specialise in hauling aircraft...

Yes thats where it was . I drove by and caught the last glance at the Martin 404 nose section. It was Red and Grey. And the B-1 Bombrer fuselage was sitting right on the side of the road as well.

And yea i wasn't aware of the fact that there were airports in the area. It was the first time i drove on those roads and going into those small towns made me feel like i was in the middle of nowhere.

Well, west of Paris I found a dirt strip with a plane that is the size of a 404 on the north side of the road at -

33* 39' 9.9"N
095* 39' 20.7"W

I followed 82 east out to Clarksville (about 40-50 miles from Paris) and saw nothing that way.

I followed 271 southeast towards Deport (about 30 miles from Paris) and found nothing that way either.

So, I think that's your best bet for the location, but the satellite images are only about 1m resolution, which means that a car is only 3-4 pixels long and very fuzzy, so it's hard to resolve a cockpit section unfortunately.

That dirt strip is Jr.s So is the 404.
