England Trip

Mon Feb 25, 2008 10:37 pm

One of the incentive programs for volunteering with the Foundation is a trip at the end of each season. If you commit at least 90 days to the tour you are invited along. This year we went to England. As you all know there is much to see and these are some highlight photos...more to come if you all are interested.

Image The actual D-Day planning map in Southwick A toy company was commissioned to build the map which included all of Europe. Once it was decided where the invasion was to take place the other pieces were burned and everyone was confined to the house til after D-Day. Extreme secrecy was of the utmost importance.

Cool shots Jim. I would love to see more.

I am glad that you got to go to Thorpe Abbots. Cool tower/museum there.

Welcome home,
