Well, so much for the tempered response that people asked for...five posts with links in less than an hour.

. . . and one attack in another thread. Nice.

Oh, and does anyone really believe this is a decal from the Korean war? Give me a break. Time-waster.

I'm not attacking, merely making an observation. He was asked not to do that, but rather to put all the links in one post. If making that observation was wrong, I apologize

????

John,
I don't believe that reply was intended for you.

I don't believe he meant you were attacking.

I think he was pointing out how our beloved HGUCSU laid into a WIX'er for putting up the enlistment age in the USAF post.

I think that HGUCSU sees this as a battle of wits. Shame he's not armed.

Well from what I've observed, it's more of a "fairness" thing. HGCSU think he's being unfairly focused upon.

No USAF aircraft ever carried the national insignia as a decal did they?

That's what I was referring to - sorry for the confusion.

Also, doesn't a thread of this type belong somewhere in the WIX Flea Market?

All,

Thanks for the clarification. I hadn't seen the comment in the enlistment age thread.

That's my point – I believe they were painted with stencils. Also, what decal would survive intact that long? It's BS

Well, I appreciate this post. I may buy this.

I have a decal from approx. the '60's and they were applied as peel and stick, including squadron stickers. It was given to me from someone who said it was for a F104. He flew 104's so I would assume it was.
