This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I did an N# search and it looks like it's the Air Zoo's tigercat.

Hmmmm, im starting to believe that even if some of these static museums don't fly any of there amazing collections, its not the end of the world. It seems theirs always a chance for them to get back in the sky. Remember, we are not the keepers of these time capsules but rather only the current "holders".
If somebody wanted to start there own Cat Collection (and had oodles of money) then courtesy is the first place to be!

Maybe, I wonder if they will be selling off more aircraft or just 1 or 2 to help get the others flying again.

Dang. If I only had two million dollars lying around, I could take the F7F and the FM-2.

I dig the F-7F

, man would I love to see two of them going around the pylons at Reno!

I wouldn't mind having the Loadstar they listed as well, I always thought they were a neat airplane.

That sucks if that is kalamazoo's Tigercat. It is nice to have an example of all of the cats on display.

They used to fly most of their aircraft, but grounded them about ten years back due to high insurance costs. I doubt that this sale is being used to generate funds to start flying again. I am curious about the sale though, and wonder why it was necessary. Their flight of cats was one of the big airshow acts back in the day... At one point they even had an F9F, and an F-14 join up.
Cheers,
Richard

More likely, they're trying to add a rollercoaster to their little aviation amusement park
