I swear it was a B24, but I must be wrong, mustnt I? What would be out here in the boondocks like that? I thought I saw a split red and yellow flash on one of the twin rudders, and four engines, but I was driving the opposite direction and couldn't slow down to get a good look. Anybody got a clue?

The Collings Foundation is working its way north through CA. That's the area I'd expect them to be in about now.

IT WAS!!!

I saw Witchcraft today!

*punches at the air*

Man, I almost got myself into a wreck craning my neck around to see her--they had her throttled back into the wind (a good west wind was blowing and it looked like they were just hanging there enjoying the view out over the Pacific.

Thanks, Curtis--you made my night!

Muddyboots,
Sounds cool. How is CA?
I think The Collings Foundation is due here in Denver on July 4th.
Can't wait.

Reminds my of the first time I saw the Collings Liberator, back around '91 or so. My (now ex) wife and I were on the way to the store, and I saw an aicraft silohuetted in the late afternoon sky heading towards the airport. I thought is was just some old frieght hog, and was imagining it as a bomber. Then I noticed the distinctive twin tails, and gun turrets.. I let out an expletive, and my ex thought I'd seen someone get hit by a car or something. I pointed a shaking finger and said "It's a..a..a..B-24!!" She rolled her eyes and replied "Oh..another airplane."

One of the reasons she's now and ex.. 8)

They always used to be in Seattle on the 4th (also my birthday  ). So, you're the bums that took that away from me :butthead:

They'll be here soon though.

Looking forward to the 4th!!!
