Y2-K Spitfire Restoration Project Status

Sun Dec 19, 2004 3:24 pm

Well we have finally finished the last belly skin. Those who follow our site will know that this has taken a while. We now have the aircraft right side up so that we can work on the last dorsal skins. We have also given the cockpit area the first coat of cockpit green. At this stage we hope to start fitting out some of the cockpit area. With this we require some parts that we do not have. If anybody out there can help with the following would appreciate it. We require
1) the D handle that mounts on frame 9 to release the belly tank.
2) the larger pulleys that mount on Frame 5 and Fr 8 for the cabling for the landing gear quadrant.
3) a flap lowering valve and selector
4) rudder trim wheel and guts
5) landing gear quadrant.
There are more items listed on our website as well.
I have also loaded up some pictures to a community website please check out our progress.
