I shot these at Chino in March 1988, and in my haste, I was unable to get the civil registration numbers. Anyone have any ideas as to the registration of each of these? 8) I was with my wife, and she didn't care to much for aircraft.

Top is POF P-38. Taken a couple days before the 1st flight. On top is Matt Nightengale and on the ladder is Alan Woijak. (God, I've forgotten how to spell his last name.) Great book written about this rebuild by Jesse Alexander.
Bottom is the POF P-40N. In the background is Steve Hinton's Mustang.
I think the Middle P-38 is one of Tallachett's before being sent to UK. Today it is with Evergreen's collection.

Thanks Rich, I'll believe I will be able to get all of the numbers from http://www.warbirdregistry.org/
Cool that you recall the names of these guys doing the work, I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday

Gary,
I spent around 14 months working on that rebuild so I hope that remember those guys.
Alan went on to WestPac and MAtt is doing his own rebuilds.
Following this P-38 we went on to do the P-38 for Stephen Grey.

I have some other pictures of the -38s I believe. It musta been fun more times than not working on that project.
