A history of the P-38 and photos of the variants,
Photos of all the surviving P-3s in the world,

On-Camera interviews (over 110 minutes!) with 11 former P-38 pilots. Hear them talk about the unique qualities of the P-38, what it was like to fly harrowing reconnaissance missions, and the amazing combat sorties (flying 8 hours on one engine, bombing Ploesti, shooting down Yamamoto) flown by these pilots. You will also hear of a daring mission from one P-38 pilot that landed behind enemy lines to rescue a second P-38 pilot that was shot down. AMAZING STORIES!
All pages are set up for easy interactive navigation. Mac users will be provided instructions on how to best see the photos, documents and interviews.

All photos and documents are printable!

You can order at http://www.buffiesbest.com/p38_cd.html. Also please check out the vol 1 Restorations Illustrated on the Me-109 G-10, where you can also read the reviews.

Derek

If it is half as good as the 109 CD it will be a 'must have' for both enthusiasts, restorers and modellers, keep up the good work !

Dave

You will indeed love this one!

Thanks Dave!

As I get reviews back I'll post them on the web site www.buffiesbest.com. I put the same effort and dedication into these CD's as I do my models, and am very proud of the quality of these first two CD's. Wether you're a modeler, historian or just a Walter Mitty airplane nut like myself - you'll like this Restorations Illustrated series.

The next volume will cover the P-51 Mustang and include restorations of an A model, numerous D models, and an H model - and will also have some cool photos of Enforcers as well. As will the other series - I'd love to hear from museums and restoration outfits that would care to share their photos, as well as from modelers so I can have more killer built-ups showcased. If there are any former P-51 pilots willing to share their stories and photos, I'd love to hear from you as well. Perhaps another reunion visit for 2005? Time has a way of stealing our heros, and my 'mission' is to honor those that flew and worked on these amazing airplanes.

Cheers!

Derek
