(hesitates to ask) Does anyone know how far from airworthy this one is? I know that it's not going to fly, but it sure looks awful good!

I reckon they're just gonna run it without any part of the cowlings installed. How do I know this? Well, you can't put the cowling (nosebowl)on with the freakin' front row of exhaust installed. It's a huge pain in the patooty installing that stupid exhaust with such little room between the nosebowl and the prop.

Gary, Gary, Gary, this airframe is the property of the MoF who's sworn policy is 'now why in hell would we want flying airplanes in an airplane museum?' The only thing that gonna get run on 54T when finished will be it's condition and that will be downward over time.

Well, then if they're gonna display it with the cowlings on, they're gonna need to take that front row of exhaust off.

So how many years of college did the engineer have that designed that engines exhaust system and cylinder exhaust placement, and also the one that designed the cowling?

Looks like their primer colors are more correct than Doc's in Wichita.
