Labuan Airfield, Borneo

Actually,

Earlier, someone mentioned about Pacific Wrecks avoiding giving out info on current status on wrecks.

I think they said Labuan was cleared out, and that there was only two Ki-51 Sonias there. Now I doubt about that, and I'm wondering if there are really more planes there.

I think I may have mentioned this earlier, but someone I know was a helo pilot in Borneo in the 60's ,and said there was an entire abandoned airport there with several Japanese planes on it. Evidently it was booby trapped after the war, and it had barbed wire around it.

Take their site with many grains of salt- they are far from objective.

Wasnt it Elliot Smock who found one of the Sonias during one his medical internships. Apparently he wanted to bring it back to UK.
