This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Military, commercial, and warbird pilots refer to light civilian aircraft at "Spam cans". Does that count?

It doesn't have to do with a/c, but this forum in particular! Don't worry, I've noticed the offensive poster has been banned!

That's great that Scott or one of the other moderators jumped on the Spammer so fast. We are lucky to have the use of such a well monitored site. That's the first significant Spam attack I've seen on the WIX forums. I've seen other forum sites take days to find and ban the spammer.

Opossum does not taste as bad as you might think. It's much better than Squirrel. Some people around here say it tastes like House Cat but I think it tastes a bit more like Spotted Owl.

Squirrel is good fried in butter. No kidding. My granddad used to shoot them and fry them when I was seven or eight years old. Maybe I can't remember exactly how good it tasted.

Memory can go to h3ll pretty badly, but taste buds rarely lie..they're great in stew too.

Just my two cents - I've always regretted that unwanted postings, such as the kind we have seen here recently, have been given the nickname "Spam." Frankly, I think Pork Shoulder deserves better.
Maybe it wasn't the most popular delicacy, but it did it's part to win the war. Someone once asked Krushchev to name the most important product the US provided the USSR during the war. He didn't hesitate one moment. It wasn't the P-39s, or the Studebaker trucks, or even the uniforms and boots we provided. According to ol' Nikita, it was Spam that made the difference. To paraphrase one of our brother WIXers: "If you are reading this in English, thank Spam!"
Funny thing - my dad flew in the CBI from 1944-45. For some reason, the AAF never sent Spam to the CBI. After the war, Dad heard the other GIs complaining about all the Spam they had to eat, and wondered what was so awful about it. He bought a can, tried it ... and liked it. Still does.

Don't look now but that dillhole is on every other WIX forum! Break out the pruning shears and nip him in the bud(s).
(I haven't eaten squirrel but my dad has - you did what you could during the Depression.)
