Sept. 27th - Paine Field Warbird Day

Fri Sep 05, 2008 3:25 am

"Chipmunk Bob" from the Cascade Warbirds was at my monthly model meeting at the Museum of Flight this evening and informed me that there is gonna be a Warbird Day at the Future of Flight building at Paine Field in Everett. John Sessions has some involvement in this I guess and it sounds like his Mustangs and Tigercat are to participate along with some of the Cascade Warbird group. Hope the weather stays as nice as it's been the past few days. Sounds like one last hurrah for the season.

The Heritage Flight Museum will also be participating (weather permitting), probably with a few T-6's and the Skyraider. Unfortunately, the Mustang is down for a few months due to engine problems so it won't make it.

Excellent! Sounds like this is gonna be pretty cool.

That does sound cool!

If that's September 6th, then I'll also add that Paul Allen's Flying Heritage Collection will be flying their Spitfire Mk V and their Curtis Jenny.

What a good day to be at Paine Field.

Cheers,

David

I was told today that their would 40 aircraft at the "show" on the 27Th. Including the fuselage of the static ME262 we are working on, and it looks great!
