Tjhis Lysander is now on display at NASM/Udvar Hazy in Chantilly,Va. According to the Registry it was recently at the Portuguese AF Museum for restoration.
www.warbirdregisrty.org/lizzieregistry/ ... f2346.html Did they volunteer to restore it for the NASM? I wondered was it wasnt restored at the Garber facility.

Pat,
The Lizzie registry has some issues. The plane at Udvar Hazy was restored to flying condition by Dwight Brooks in the 70s and then donated to NASM. It was on display for quite a few years at the USAFM and then went back to Silver Hill for storage. It was never in Portugal. I've got a few pics of it at Silver Hill from 5 or so years ago.
The pics used to illustrate 2346 is an unknown IDed (could be 2375) Lizzie that was on display at the CATPM in Brandon, Manatoba for years and then was sold to Europe. I think it changed hands a few times in Europe (don't know if it was in Portugal or not) and now is with Musee de l'Air in Paris.
