Wild Cargo air-to-air and on-the-deck at Va Beach

My friend Dennis Drenswick and I attended this fantastic event put on by Angel Flight benefitting Wounded Warriors from Walter Reed hospital. Jerry Yagen's magnificent facility was leased for this event, and Mr. Yagen and some great guests put on a short but "enthusiastic" flying display. Thanks to Mike Sherman, Don Anklin and Jerry Yagen, I was able to shoot some air-to-air with "Wild Cargo" and the Texans from Culpeper, VA. Dennis got some great shots of the B-25 "low-level" *uh, YEAH!* bombing runs, and Rob Collings brought the gorgeous Corsair for some flying too. In the evening, the USO show featured Charlie Daniels band with special guest 15-year old fiddle prodigy Jennifer Zalinsky. IF any of you have an email address for any of the SNJ/T-6 in the shots, can you let me know. I'll see them next weekend at Culpeper, but I wanted to email some shots right away. I didn't have time to put together a disk last night.

right now my new favorite B-25. Sorry Jack. I like Super Rabbit but an 'correct' olive drab B-25 looks so much cooler!

Lovely photos Rich - goodness knows how many thousands of hours and $ were put in to get the aircraft in to this state. We were just privelged to get involved in the fun bit at the very end

Pungo is actually up the road a little ways- I found it on Google World/Earth(whatever) and have it noted. Have to post a link when I get home. It still looks like a WWII field- Wonder why Yeagan didn't buy that one instead of Colonial...

Either way, gotta get down there sometime soon.

Actually the town of Pungo is about a mile "up" (north) from Jerry's MAM, while the Pungo former military airfield is about 3 miles south of the MAM, where we were holding for the B-25.
