One thing you can say for certain about war time Spads. They were a living breathing display of fluid dynamics.
Well I guess you could say that too about a lot of currently flying examples but the owners tend to clean them, thus removing the lesson.

Vietnam Spad drivers have the same cool factor as Seve McQueen, that's for sure.
