Bill the 4th FG webpage says Stewart flew 280 combat hours in the Pacific.
I don't believe this is accurate. He commanded the 44th FS after Dec 7th until relieved by Kermit Tyler
but never left Hawaii. He returned to the US soon after. Any ideas on this???
