Hi,
Not sure if this is off topic,
But we're going on a family holiday to vancouver in august 2005,
Just found out there is a local air display, Abbotsford, Is this worth a visit ?
Any other suggestions locally ?
Cheers

Abbotsford is a great airshow. I have been to it probably a dozen times back in the 70s/80s when I was growing up in Seattle. Definitely worth the visit.

A great Canadian airshow that always has a good warbird involvement along with military aircraft.

I've been there twice, and the best airshow I've seen. Better, because of less restrictions. The aircraft are allowed to fly low over the crowd. Good place to camp out too if you fly in, lots of grass.

Is there anyone on the forum who were there in 1968?

Yes the Abbotsford airshow should be a great show it usually is. This year the show is on the weekend of the 13-14th of August. Between Abbotsford and Vancouver is the airport of Langley and there is an aviation musuem there as well as numerous Harvards and similar aircraft fly out of there. If you come over to Vancouver Island there is an aviation musuem at Victoria Airport and if you come up to Comox there will be an airshow there on Sunday 7th of August you can view as well as checking out our Spitfire Restoration Project.
