SBD. I don't want a pony.....

Thanks for posting the pic of the N3N. Tho I am sad to still see it in the same condition as the last time. We currently lost 3 this year. Two and incidents, one of them should be back in the air for 09. One write off and one retired from airworthy to a museum. But we should be getting 2 new ones and possibly a third in the air for a 1st time in 09. Its all baby steps.

Does anyone have info for his N3N??????? ANYTHING????? Looking for a Bureau number. Dont we have a WIX member on his staff???

Jim, isn't the Wright Brother's memorial just cool?

Fri Dec 12, 2008 8:43 pm

Say Jim, did they happen to let you inside the B-24? I'd like to see some recent interior shots of it.

I wanna say the N3N came from Uraguay...probably wrong though. He mentioned that it is an unmolested complete airframe. It would take two life times finish all that stuff.

It's a Curtiss Seagull Prop.
Most of the ex-MGM SBD wind machines had them installed.
That SBD is the Ex. NEAM airframe.
