mystery RP-63 Kingcobra at University of Utah

Frederick A. Johnsen wrote in his November 1987 WARBIRDS column in the Western Flyer paper about a mystery RP-63 that he had last seen at the University of Utah Air Force ROTC Compound in 1960. His research into old University yearbooks revealed it had been there at least since 1950.

The article is below. Did anyone ever solve the riddle of the fate of this Kingcobra?

I wouldn't confuse this RP-63 with the one that is currently at Lackland (?) AFB in TX. That one was in upstate NY in the 1950's.
