Turret parts ID please :)

Hi Guys, I acquired a drum full of old aircraft parts, and these were in it...I'm 99% sure they are turret related. Anybody happen to know what make/model of turret they may be from? They came from an RAAF Base down south...so that may narrow the turret types a bit.

Manual Cranks resemble Martin Turret / 250. But the extra brackets attached indicate to me that maybe its for a Bendix. Does anyone know what the manual handcranks looked like on the original A-9 Bendix turrets?

The two hooks in the top picture look like the catches for the seat on the Martin 250.

Majority of your turret parts are indeed Martin 250 series upper turret - US made suring WWII and used in a variety of Allied aircraft, both AAF and USN, and incorporated into RAF, RCAF and RAAF aircraft, too. Some of these turrets were used post war as well. Your gearboxes are elevation and azimuth related components. The brackets as shown in the last picture series before the bucket are mounting brackets that would have bolted on to the armor plate and hold the seat rail in place. The ones with the round eyelet and spring assembly were used to raise or lower the seat to the gunner's choice of position.

Bucket contains numerous electrical cable clamps and gear ring rollers. There's what appears to be a radial ignition spark plug lead or mag wire in there, too, and a couple of radio cables and drivers. I can't make out the end of the one big radio cable there on top, but it almost looks like a radar connector on the end. A neat "catch all" bin of goodies, to be sure.

Looks like a missing bucket from Albert Stix's turret collection half the world away!

Hi Pooner, i'm not interested in any of the turret stuff. I don't have a turret to restore and my aircraft is a fighter so no turret there either
