Greetings All -

An interesting photo - any idea what aircraft fuselage is hanging on the upper left side or is it just a design exercise?

Image

Also interesting is the number of production photos:

That fuselage sort of looks like a Vega or C-12.

That looks to be a P-6E hawk wing on the wall.I would bet one of the airframes is a p-6e.

Is that a photo in one of the hangers at CPS?

It looks like an airship engine car to me. Just a WAG.

What about the RYAN STA/PT-21/22 over in the far upper right side of the picture whats anyones guess on the colors of the dark stripes on it's rudder and who the operator might have been,
the guys working on the project in the center right, the project looks like a movie filming prop because of the shortened, but correctly shaped wings, the camera can't judge true length or depth of field, could it be the mount of the dreaded and feared Baron Von Knockwurst? from some 30's era 'airplane themed' movie,
What is the story on the fuselage in the center bearing what appears to be NC656K on the upper end of the rudder? 8) 8)

Scrolling through the photos there is one of a "Bomb damaged plane" that looks an awful lot like it could be a Me 262. No engines but the tail looks right and the DF antenna does too. My first thought was Arado 234 but I think the 262 wins out.
What an interesting bunch of photos. Didn't get through all of them yet but I will. Thanks for the link.

Probably a training prop with shortened wings just so it doesn't take up much space.

They may have used it for rigging training. Anything outside of the struts and wires would be just wasted space.
