Limits...

Mon Feb 23, 2009 10:47 am

My wfe and I have agreed on a two airplane plus maybe one long term project "family limit." However, I'm pretty sure that this is not within the scope of what we agreed to for the "project." .....Sigh :)

Think they'd take a postdated check? I think I could afford it by... uh, 2120... Think they'd hold the check that long?

It's not for any reason other than we've got so much stuff going on we can't get anything done. The last thing I want to do is get rid of her, but it's at the point that we've got a hangar of grounded planes and we need to refocus our energies. Don't think this is the last Mustang we grab, though and I still intend to do a full up Iwo Mustang. Jim

Sorry to hear this. Good luck with whatever you do. You're an attorney, can't ya just put it is escrow or something? :)

PS- Does this mean you've decided on an FW? :) :)

I don't know how Beasley's crew does it, but everytime I see a shot of the inside of their hangar I'm in awe at how Rich keeps things so orderly and clean. (Opening here for a Beasley insert for Rich :-))))
For an old guy like me who remembers doing an annual on a Mustang outside on the grass with P63 brake disks spread out on milk cartons I'm in envy of their operation every time I see what they're doing.
What a GREAT operation, and a tribute to a whole lot of hard work by some real dedicated folks.
Poor Rich.............If Jim gets a 190, Rich will have to learn to read German. Quite a task after just learning how to understand British!!! :-)))))))))))))))))

Darn - I was really hoping to see Frenesi gracing the skies again ... as Frenesi. Hope a new owner stays with the scheme. I'm still trying to get over that you sold Princess (my favorite flying warbird), but I'll live, I guess.

As for 190s, Jim, I'd love to see another one flying and hope you go that route. I have it on very good authority that a certain Flug Werk machine is being painted now in a very attractive scheme that I really like, but if you wish I can suggest some possible schemes for yours, too.

Dudley,
Your not helping.
I convinced Jim that an annual couldn't be done outside of a hangar.
Now I have to come up with a different story.
