I love the shots of them flying formation and you see no movement in the wingman's head once he fixes on the lead a/c. Not too many people know that the wingman is flying off the lead a/c and nothing else.

Surprisingly small crowd considering the a/c involved.

When they fly formation like that is the wingman focusing on a certain point on the lead aircraft or a sight picture? If it is a certain point on the aircraft what is that certain point?
I saw these aircraft at TOM in '08 and they fly amazing formation. Top notch pilots these two!

We saw a much more "active" formation demo at Duxford in '07. Forgot who it was but it was done with two P-51s. I've got pictures of them somewhere. Amazingly tight formation flying. I'm sure someone here knows the names and as soon as I hear 'em, I'll say, "Oh...yeah. That's them."
They were incredible.

Shhh... I like the small crowds, makes for easy photography, not to mention the up close access. To be fair there was a threat of rain that day but normal crowds aren't much larger.

Much of this is due to the fact they don't really advertise their fly-ins other than an announcement on the museum website. I'm hoping for something on a bigger scale this year, as there is something they are calling a "Warbird Tribute" planned this year. http://www.tnairmuseum.com/ (scroll to the far right)

Mudge, these guys plus 3 other bolts were at Chino Airshow a few years back. It was chilling to hear all those P-47 radials taxing up and flying over in formation - a full flight of T-Bolts flying over! It gave a little taste of what it must of sounded like in England 60 odd years ago! These kinds of things keeps me going back to Chino every year.

Probably a lot like the sound at "Thunder" last year.

I turned one of the Boeing Instructors on to this video today. His Dad flew 47's and Randy sat there with the most pleased look on his face, when it was over, he ran it again. I was happy to make his day for him.

I have no idea what group his Dad flew in or where, he's pretty close mouthed about that stuff and I respect his privacy and value his friendship too much to pry-

Ed Shipley was one, and the other was either Jim Beasley or Nick Grey. Can't remember which year Grey flew in the duo.

I filmed the YAK-3 in Bavaria close to the alps which you can see somewhere
in the backround.

Paul Ressle in his YAK had a bit of a hard time flying formation very close to stalling speed because our T6 wouldn`t give much power at the height we were flying so you can clearly see the high angle nose up from the Yak-3

Well, I've made a video or two with the footage you requested, but they are too long for Internet use. Besides, my Demo Videos would probably put most WIXers asleep anyway.

And, to answer your second question, I never move my seat in the airplane while flying. The only time I think would ever even mess with it would be to lower it all the way, in an emergency such as an off-field landing where I could see it would me likely I'd end up on my back (airplane upside-down due to rough terrain, etc.).
