Gee, I hope not... The format of Mail Call is kind of lame in my opinion. Ermey and the weapons are great though!Pat Carry wrote:Excellant! Will the show be similar to Mail Call?

HC let Mail Call die for "format" reasons. They moved it all over the scheduling map and refused to air new episodes (in fact, there are shows from the final season that have never aired yet). They told the creator of the show that HC was going "in another direction" when in fact, Mail Call had some of the highest rating the network had (when it was in a stable timeslot, that is). Folks got tired of not knowing when it'd be on or if it would be a new show. I wish them luck on this new show, which is not being produced by the Mail Call people, but there's only a limited number of things they can do with it. At least Mail Call had a broader base of subjects to go with. It could have gone on for many more seasons. Lee Ermey is one of the nicest people in Hollywood I've ever met, and is as funny in real life as you'd imagine. I was on an episode of Mail Call in 2005 and got to meet him and the folks who make the show. Fine folks, every single one of them!tom d. friedman wrote:did mail call's contract expire?? or did he burn out on the format?? i thought it was quite informative & entertaining.
