the bipe is not a cr 42, as it was a radial. but looks like a type found in iraq recently within the last year. the others i've never seen nor heard of & look forward to the feedback / info.

hi james, yes i'm talking about those bird carcasses in afghanistan, wrong country go figure. i wasn't aware the italians modified the cr 42 to liquid cooled engines. experimental?? or operational?? that was the 1st pic i've seen with that configuration & those lines. please elaborate!!

I was surprised also Tom. Hence the post

I've searched the web but still did not find other pics of it.

I think it has some nice lines compared to it's radial sibling.

I've always had a weak spot for the obscure.

That SM 92 is a wierd one , look at the picture from wiki, the pod on the tail for the remotly controlled rear gun !
