Hi Vlado;

If he took that shot without a long lens he was "Mr. Steady". Holding the camera he must have had the stick between his legs and that Hamilton meat grinder out there looks darn close to his tip :-))

Don't think there were a great number of 'long lenses' in 1945, probably a K-24 or personal box Brownie and it looks like Salveson has his Vulcan squinties fixed on the photo airplane and probably ready to yank the throttle or dump the nose at the first bobble-

In THAT close you don't want to be "dumping the nose" or "yanking the throttle" in these airplanes. By that time it's WAY too late!! :-))))

Try one of these next time :-)) Using a period at the end of a statement like that sort of denotes a declarative sentence to us "stupid" guys :-))
