Help with a Huey ID?

I returned to the Union Twp Vets Memorial today and took a bunch of pics; I'm curious if anyone can help at least pin down a model number for this bird. The only speculation I have is that it might be UH-1H 63-12972, but that's listed as having been at Fort Rucker in Dec 2004, and it's been here longer than that.

It looks like the birds have managed to get inside
It looks like it's been more than a little while since anyone's looked over this memorial, given the state of the brochures in here
There's also this weird patch on the underside.
I tried looking for a dataplate or datablock of some kind, but they've either been painted over or aren't going to be visible from the ground.
