Hi Michel--

Yep, FF is really in high gear lately. Mr Yagen usually sends things to both Geneseo and Yankee, too...

The MiG-3 is, I think, one of the two new-build MiGs started in Russia a year or two ago; iirc one was to be Allison V1710-powered and the other was to have a genuine Klimov V12!

The Mossie is based on KA114, the only surviving (well sort of) FB.26, the Canadian-built equivalent to the FB.VI; the substantial remains of KA114 were held by the Zalesky family in BC for many years and recently passed to Mr Yagen, who sent the project to New Zealand to be restored...to fly. Now there's something I'd like to see touch down on the turf at Gennie...

Cheers

S.

A couple of weeks ago, they had a P-63 and a F-86 listed on their restorations page, but they seem to have disappeared...?

That second photo of a Mosquito is not the Jerry Yagen one, in case anyone is confused. That is Glyn Powell's workshop where his will be restored, but that fuselage is his test-shot, first from the mould which won't fly. It is soon to be going to a museum in Canada who're restoring a static example.

I was there the weekend before last with John Parker, Steve Patterson and Marcus Bridle, all from this forum, and Mr Yagen's fuselage is being worked on (Glyn and crew are preparing all the formers and stuff and it will soon begin to be laid up on the mould.) The rest of the Mossie is apparently at AvSpecs at Ardmore Airport, just down the road from Glyn's, according to AvSpecs' site

FF out-shops

Thanx Dave, We had a thread about a week or so ago, and it was brought
up that what was shown on the FF website was not necessarily what was
at the shop. Thanx for bringing back attention to the efforts of Mr. Powell.
The "static machine" will pave the way for the flyers. Glyn will have his
process perfected..and we will have Mossies again!!!

Here's some Mig-3 stuff that was shopped in Russia.....also depicted as at
FF...

I ran across this stuff before, but found it again..while digging for
Latecoere 298 "floater" via an Erprobungsstelle Travemunde Luftwaffe
search.....

PS edit..
the Late 298, may be 29+81 in a light contrast colour. It was sent to
Travemunde for "special" Luftwaffe fitting.

T.J. or Swiss..can you help with fotos??
