BF-109 in India ?

Several years ago I rember reading in air classics about a BF-109E found in India,aparentlly it was used to some sort of aircraft testing by the British in ww2? Does anyone remeber this or know what became of the aircraft ?

Guys,

There used to be a WIX member named, IIRC Jagan.

He was from India, and had good information about this particular Bf; I believe that he has a website called "warbirds of India"
