Paine Field Pics Posted (White 1)

Mon Feb 21, 2005 9:53 am

Don't worry. If you were one of those that whined about me not posting pics of the White 1 flight soon enough I forgive you. :P

Anyway I have posted the pics. Please forgive me for the poor quality, I didnt' have much time to compose the shots (a fraction of a second for each shot) and all turned out very poor. You can find them at...

I didn't have time at the time to wait around and watch the fly-bys and landing, so I missed some opportunities, but c'est la vie.

Ejoy what you can.

I bow in the presence of ANYONE who's seen a 262 fly! For now, you're among the elite few. :!:

Hi Mike... regardless of the quality of the photos ... they are terrific to see. Not often one gets such a chance, and you must have been floored by the oportunity. Keep 'em rolling, and well done.

I really don't feel like the elite. I believe the real credit should go to the people at the Me 262 Project (and those before them) who really the ones who are putting the legend back in the air.

It was fun to witness it though, even if only briefly.

If I get another opportunity, I will certainly take advantage of it.

January White 1 Taxy Test Pics Posted

Wed Mar 02, 2005 11:32 am

I held back a few pics of one of White 1's taxy tests last January just in case they were wanted for publication. They were wanted and I have to admit that I just couldn't get close enough for a decent shot. So they are now available in case you are interested.

Look for 200510-10 and 200510-11 at...

:D While attending NWOC in Seattle we had the treat for a few of us being able to go all over the 262's and see "White 1" in the air. With a little over 12 hours on her now, the process was very smooth and professional. Neat stuff!
