you can try a whole lot of Micro mesh, or contact a company that does canopy polishing, they might be able to give you a hand.

1. Bring it to America.
2. We'll fix it for you.

Chuck, how deep are those cracks? Is that repair a fill & polish approach? Is it really possible to "restore" that glass?

I think he means,
We will fix the whole thing, here!

Chuck, I think they keep it locked up with that chain!

the NASM did a great job on the canopy of their Fw 190F-8 back in the 80's; from what I can remember from the magazine article on the restoration, the canopy had some full depth cracks, scratches, and was very yellowed, and by the end of it it looked like new.

Maybe someone there can give you a few pointers?

good luck!

I believe one of the other -5 owners was having new ones blown. I am having trouble remembering who it was right now.

Whoever it was promised me one of the new ones for a good price.
Wish I could remember.

Could of been Graham Hoskin in Australia.

Either way it is being done. Guess 2 to 3,000 and lot of fitting to get it installed.

Maybe you could find an owner who plans on replacing their airworthy canopy with a new one and maybe get them to donate the old plexi to "609"?
It would probably be in much better shape than what they have currently.

So a big sheet of 1/8" plexi, a heat gun, and a bucket of pop rivets won't do it, huh?

Used the machine that Jay Leno had on his show that copied parts and make a mold and have a new one made>>>>

I remember reading about a company that could refinish crazed and yellowed Mustang canopies with very good success. Can't remember anything else though.
