AN-2, N87AN at LaPorte,Texas

Thu Feb 24, 2005 3:20 pm

A PZL AN-2 has popped into LaPorte for routine service this week. The
mechs say she'll be here till Friday. Here' N87AN's website...

www.antonovllc.com

From reading their itenerary they are Alaska "snowbirds" flitting about
from one tropical drink and location to another. If you like big bipes
and are nearby...grab your camera. It is easily accessable to photos.
Jeeez the cockpit is "cozy" for such a big beasty! I guess they didn't
sacrifice cargo space for comfort.

An AN-2 web registry..

AN-2 LaPorte

For those locals who could not make it for Friday to see the AN-2..it
appears they will be there thru the weekend. The sun..says the
weatherman  ...may return on Sunday which I'd prefer for fotos.
I chatted with Douglas a'bit..very friendly folks..I didn't bother them too
long, they were up to their elbows in ASz-62 and it has turned cool here.

An additional reason to trip-over is a restored Ryan PT at one of the
big orange hangers..nearest to Spencer Hwy.
