Eagles Over London

So the recent Movie Scene thread got me to thinking in the vein of 'worst' movie scenes....and naturally, Iron Eagle III just bowled me over like a truck. But I remember watching a movie as a kid that just made me laugh out loud because they used HA-1112's painted in RAF livery for Spitfires, and Spitfires painted in Luftwaffe markings for BF-109's....can anyone confirm...is that Eagles Over London?

Anyone have any photos of the mixed up planes?

Depends which film you watch - the same stuff appears in another Italian-made war "epic" called From Hell to Victory, starring everyone's favourite German WW1 ace, George Peppard!

There was a thread a looooong time ago on the Key forums where I managed to get some crap screenshots from the film.

It makes Iron Eagle III look like Scorcese.... :roll:

The 'Messerstang' was prepared for (but not used in) Patton. The unbeatable combo of a Spitfire in German colours and a Buchon (Messerschmitt) in Spitfire colours was indeed in From He11 to Victory, where the film was made up from out-takes from other films, IIRC, some of which was from Eagles over London (a different film).

The (then) Old Flying Machine Co P-40 in pseudo Luftwaffe colours. I vaguely recall it was perhaps something to do with an advertisement, but I'm far from certain. I'll pass the question on...

I thought that P-40 and Harvard had something to do with a film about captured German pilots in Ireland.
Anybody confirm?

I recently saw some flick on cable about fictional WWII British commando raid. They went in with a CG-4A flown by Billy Zane (affecting a really bad Canadian accent.) The glider flying shots were done with respectable CGI, but to escape they used a "German float plane" that was clearly made up of an AN-2 on floats minus the upper wing, and with some badly faked up engine nacells on the lower wing. I guess it was intended to represent a Ju-52 on floats. Of course, all the shots of that one in the air were CGI.

Pretty sure it's not the film with the P-40. No credit to OFMCo on the 'full cast and credits', which they usually ensured appeared.

I could be wrong!

I think the German P-40 is from another film that was released more recently than "The Breylcream Boys".
