Nice link armyjunk...moving pictures in there for sure.

Just as an aside...Bedford, Virginia, due to losing the largest number of men on D-Day per capita, was chosen several years back for the National Memorial to all of the brave men involved with the invasion and beyond. A large gathering of vets are expected today. I am going to pay my respects and meet some more of my heroes!

Wonderful pictures.

A good opportunity to take time and appreciate the men on the beaches and all who served and serve.

Amazing photos and amazing feats performed there. In the photo of Gen Eisenhower overlooking the invasion beaches, what ever happened to the row of ships that were sunk to form a breakwater? Were they eventually raised or did they just break up?
